Life According to Buddhism
For one to desire is to allow oneself to suffer. That philosophy is the basic principle understood by all whom wish to live a Buddhist life. A Buddhist is not born with the understanding of his faith. He must proclaim his faith for acceptance. Those willing to follow the path of Buddha learn to will learn to detach themselves from materialistic wants. A child will learn to live without toys. The adolescents won’t wait to watch reality TV shows. And adults needn’t believe that you must drive everywhere. These luxuries and the term “luxury” itself are not in the Buddhist vocabulary.
