Cultural relativism for one makes a huge impact on many people’s decisions as well as both sorts of egoism. Utilitarianism, and the Kantian deontology also have some insight on this. Rawls veil of ignorance goes great with this question even divine command can be put to play in such an ethical question. And to see some personal views we have Aristotle, Nietzsche’s perspective, Fienberg, and Dworkin. I will even go as far as talking about the Buddha/Siddartha Cuatama.
Fienberg and Dworkin had some very similar views on this particular ethical question. Fienberg believed that duty is related to any action we feel we must do. Fienberg believed that you have no duty to relinquish your life and others have the duty not to interfere with you
