"West Side Story" written by Irving Shulman and "Romeo and Juliet,"written by William Shakespeare, are both prime examples of two lovers torn apart by their parents disputes; despite the sad endings of both. Both have excellent characters, theme, and irony. Both stories start off with two lovers meting and falling in love with each other. The problem is they are both from different worlds and are destined not to be together. When both of the stories lovers collied with reality it becomes deadly to stay together.
