A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry is a play that gives a provocative reflection of the racial attitudes of the 1950’s. Hansberry uses the characters of the play and the descriptive dialogue to show the reader of the rampant prejudice against African-Americans. A Raisin in the Sun is not just any play, it helped to bring the problem of prejudice to the attention of many people. According to Philip U.
