“Self” Jean-Jacques Rousseau was a political philosopher obsessed with hostile aspects of science and of natural worship. He had no formal education, and was raised originally by his father and later an uncle and aunt. His peculiar childhood did not allow him to play with other children; therefore leading to later years where he at times he found living among people difficult. In living a preferred solitary life, he had the personality characteristic of narcissism, which is an inflated idea of self-importance.
