Recreation Department Manager

As Recreation Department Manager, my job is to manage and supervise a group of employees involved in a variety of developmental, operations and maintenance work related to the recreational facilities in the city of Tempe. In addition, thorough knowledge of the facilities, arrangements, resources, and equipment are all necessary factors for creating a successful recreational program. My job includes participation in various recreation committees and councils to assess the needs of the city. More specifically, I assist in developing long-range plans for land use and in formulating and implementing operations and maintenance policy and procedures. I also prepare recommendations on budgetary matters related to personnel, equipment and material
