Charles Louis Napoleon Bonaparte was born in Paris in 1808; he was the third and last son of King Louis and Queen Hortense of Holland. After his uncle’s downfall, the family was banished from France. After they were banished, Louis moved to Switzerland with his mother. Were she would educate him in glories of the Napoleonic legend, in anticipation to restore family power. After his education, he formed many pamphlets and treatises, to formulate a political program. Next, he led to unsuccessful armed attempts to overthrough the regime of King Louis Philippe, in 1836 and 1840. Imprisoned for life after the attacks, he escaped in 1846, calling renewed interest to himself.
