Florida’s energy situation has become very concerning in recent years. They are currently ranked 6th in the United States in total energy consumption. Consumers are spending $25 billion on energy. Florida is currently almost totally dependent on imported fuel which puts their economy at a large risk. It is now importing a higher percent of oil than every before. ¹
