Atonement

What was the inspiration of God, when he decided to create the world of humans? Did God think it would be a sinless world of human beings. I have to wonder if God is an omniscient god because of the conflicts between the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament said the people were to make sacrifices to God to free them of their sins. The usual sacrifices were animals and sometimes people. In the New Testament be god gave himself, God-man to be sacrificed for the sins of the people. Atonement is the restoration of relations between God and humans.
